The fact of the matter is that the Maldives poverty cannot be compared to other nations. The Maldives is composed of two hundred scattered islands all of which are rich in resources and jobs because of the world class hotels scattered around, from there we can see that overcrowding and hunger is not actually a issue when it comes to the citizens of the Maldives.
The whole republic relies on two main industries which obviously is fisheries and tourism. The Maldives relies heavily on tourism and with this comes a lot of opportunities for the locals.
Do not get me wrong there is poverty in the Maldives all countries have, Despite the limitations, during the last two decades Maldives has achieved remarkable progress in terms of economic and social development.
