It depends on the resort that you are going but generally Bungalows are equipped with all the necessities including telephone that allows international phone calls, ceiling fan, private toilette with shower, desalinated water, television and air conditioner. The Maldives are rustic but certainly high class.

Activities at the Asdu are extensive and come in a wide variety. For example there are many excursions that will take the guests fishing, to Fisherman Island and to the capital city of Male where one can enjoy the sightseeing and the shopping.

On the contrary, it is one of the smallest, and probably one of the most informally managed resorts on the Maldives giving it a traditional simplicity which has become its trademark. With only 30 bungalows facing the spectacular beach, Asdu provides a very intimate and unforgettable experience for those guests that want some privacy and intimacy.

I do recommend the Asdu Sun Island which is located in the North Male Atoll at a distance of 32 km from the Male International Airport. Asdu is famous for its lush tropical paradise reef which is specially guarded and protected by its management.

The North Male Atoll is certainly the place where more tourists go in the Maldives. This is because in that atoll there is the most concentration of resorts and also because it is the closest to the Male international airport. It is also a beautiful place to go of course.

How many locals live in the Maldives Islands?

There are about 310,000 thousand people living in the Maldives. About one third of that population live in the capital city of Male and the other ones live in the scattered islands that are around. But many of the islands are inhabited; out of nearly 2000 islands only 200 have people living in them.

Located in a prime position in the South Ari Atoll, Vakarufalhi Island Resort is right next door to many of the Maldives most famous dive sites. Well known for its thriving soft corals and the immense quantity of fish life, the South Ari Atoll has been capturing the hearts of divers and snorkelers alike for many years.

Is there a recompression chamber on kuredu?

Kuredu is home to a recompression chamber, with an on site hyperbaric medical team. The chamber has been up and running since 2006 and offers an additional safety aspect to our operations. The chamber staff are always on stand by, serving not only the local resorts, but also the numerous liveaboard / safari boats that venture up into the northern Atolls of the Maldives.

Well every resort in the Maldives is great to do some diving since it is the place to be if you are a diving enthusiastic. I would recommend Kuredu Island Resort which is totally great and has a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. Kuredu is located at the northern tip of the Lhaviyani Atoll, an area famous in the Maldives for its abundant marine life.

I would say just perfect, Paradise Island serves Italian, Japanese and Indian Foods on their restaurants. All the buffet style food is served on the main restaurant. There is also a 24 hour coffee shop which offers a wide variety of dishes.

Paradise Island is perhaps the most famous resort in Maldives. Perhaps the name itself drives a lot of clients to the resort. The resort is a big resort in comparison to other resorts in North Male atoll. It offers the guests two type of rooms; the Super Deluxe Rooms and Water Bungalows. Water Bungalows have been completely refurbished and completed on December 2007.

What is the temperature like in the Maldives right now?

Well since we are in May then that means that the southwest monsoon is in full effect; meaning that rains are more common and it is considered to be the low season. Yet it is still a pretty good season to visit the Maldives since a lot of dive sites and surf sites just get better during this time of the year. The tempearture is still very much like summer, around 28 to 30 degrees.
